Embarked 16th October 1914 from Auckland, NEW ZEALAND
aboard HMNZT 12 (ss Waimana)
and disembarked 3rd December 1914 at Alexandria, EGYPT.
Subsequently the Auckland Infantry Regiment embarked for Gallipoli from Alexandria in April 1915 aboard the "Lutzow". On reaching ANZAC Cove they were transferred to barges from which they landed onto the beaches.
